Hopefully everyone is enjoying their summer, but here at the practice our minds have already turned to autumn and the upcoming flu season.
We are pleased to announce that it is now looking likely that we will be able to vaccinate patients for both Flu and Covid 19 boosters at a single appointment. To ensure that this will run smoothly and keep patients out of the elements we plan to use the Cheltenham East Fire station to vaccinate this year. This will run in a very similar way to the current Covid 19 vaccination clinics which I know you are all familiar with. It is likely that we will invite patients in specific cohorts, similar to the Covid 19 vaccination programme.
We are just awaiting confirmation of the Covid 19 booster vaccination details and delivery dates and we will then make clinics available to book. Please be assured that these are likely to commence in mid-September and that we will be in touch to let you know when bookings are available. By having your flu vaccination at the surgery, we have full access to all of your medical records to support you and in addition, the funding we receive for administering the vaccinations helps us to provide extra services for you to maintain your health and wellbeing.
