If you are asked to provide a specimen, please bring it (in the sterile leak-proof container provided) to the surgery before 12 noon for onward dispatch to the laboratory. Do make sure the container is clearly labelled with your full name and date of birth. Please leave all samples with the nurses.
You may telephone for all test results on 01242 223810 (Option 3) between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.Please give the receptionist your full name, address, date of birth and the date on which the test was carried out.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so.
Please note the time scale for results to be sent back to the surgery may vary depending on where the test was taken. Typical timescales are as follows:
