 Latest Swine Fu Advice:

If you think you may have the symptoms of Swine Flu, please stay at home

and call the NEW flu information line on 0800 1 513 100  or 0800 1 513 200 (textphone) to check your symptoms.

You should contact the surgery direct only if:

  • You have a serious underlying illness
  • You are pregnant
  • You have a sick child under one year old
  • Your condition suddenly gets worse or
  • If your condition is still getting worse after 7 days (5 for a child)

Check your temperature. If you don't have a thermometer, you should ask someone to purchase one for you.

Please do not just come to the surgery or Accident and Emergency. Please stay at home and consult the National Pandemic Flu service telephone number given above.

If appropriate, you will be given a unique access number and will be told where your nearest antiviral collection point is.

You should then ask a flu friend (a friend or relative who dosen't have Swine Flu) to go and pick up your antiviral drugs.

The flu friend must show their own ID as well as that of the patient.

You may have heard that, at the end of March, Dr Morison will be leaving Sixways Clinic. He will be focusing on his work in medical education. We know he will be missed by patients and surgery staff alike and we wish him well for the future.
